Özet
Premenstrual sendromu hafif, orta, ağır şiddette en az bir semptom olarak kadınların bir çoğu yaşamaktadır. Fiziksel, emosyonel ve kognitif semptomları olan premenstrual sendrom kadınların yaşamlarının bir çok alanında problem yaşamalarına neden olmaktadır. Bir kadının her ay ortalama 6 gün, hayatı boyunca 8 yıl adet gördüğünü düşünürsek anlaşılması ve tedavisinde etkili çalışmaların yapılması oldukça önemlidir. Bu araştırma, kadınlarda premenstrual sendromun (PMS) kognitif semptomlarından dikkat eksikliğini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu bağlamda üniversite öğrencilerinde premenstrual dönemdeki dikkat pms, duygudurum bozuklukları belirtileri ve menstrual siklusun özellikleri ile incelenmiştir. Araştırmada 98 premenstrual döneminde olan, 78 premenstrual döneminde olmayan, 8 menstruasyon dönemi bilinmeyen toplam 184 kadına araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen Sosyodemografik Bilgi Formu, D2 Dikkat Testi, Erişkin Dikkat Eksikliği ve Hiperaktivite Bozukluğu Kendi Bildirim Ölçeği, Kısa Semptom Envanteri, Premenstrual Sendrom Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Yapılan araştırmada pms ile dikkat ve menstruasyon siklusunun özellikleri arasında anlamlı bir fark ve ilişki bulunamamış, pms ile duygudurum bozuklukları belirtlileri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. PMS ile anksiyete, depresyon, hostilite, olumsuz benlik, somatizasyon belirtileri arasında pozitif bir kolerasyon vardır ve belirti şiddeti arttıkça premenstrual sendromun şiddetinin de arttığı saptanmıştır. Bununla birlikte premenstrual dönemde, duygudurum bozuklukları belirtileri ile dikkat arasında anlamlı bir ilişki saptanmamıştır.
Premenstrual syndrome is present in most women as at least one symptom of mild, moderate, severe level. Premenstrual syndrome, which has physical, emotional and cognitive symptoms, causes problems in many areas of women's life. It is very important to understand if a woman experiences an average of 6 days every month and 8 years of menstrual period throughout her life and to work effectively in her treatment. This study was conducted to investigate the lack of attention to premenstrual syndrome (PMS) cognitive symptoms in women. In this context, university students' attention in premenstrual period by pms, symptoms of mood disorders and features of menstrual cyclus are examined. Socio-demographic Information Form, D2 Attention Test, Adult Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder Self-Report Scale, Brief Symptom Inventory, Premenstrual Syndrome Scale were applied to a total of 184 women who were in the premenstrual period of 98, not of 78 in the premenstrual period and no information about period day of 8. There was no significant difference and relationship between the premenstrual syndrome and the attention and menstruation cycle and there was a significant relationship between pms and symptoms of mood disorders. There is a positive correlation between premenstrual syndrome and symptoms of anxiety, depression, hostility, negative self, somatization and the severity of premenstrual syndrome has been found to increase with increasing symptom severity. However in the premenstrual period no significant relationship was found between the symptoms of mood disorders and attention.
