Özet
The aim of this study is to design an ontology model to predict the career planning of undergraduate students. For this purpose, a questionnaire was given to a group of software engineering students and the design of the model was carried out by evaluating the answers. Both the selection and evaluation of the survey questions are based on three basic theoretical classifications of Career Development and Systems Theory. These three career classifications, namely Career Adaptability, Employee Well-being and Career Construction, which are separately applied to carrier planning studies today, form the fundamental of the constituted ontology model. This career-oriented ontology provides a foundation for representing various knowledge related with university students for personalized properties of them. Answers of survey processed by using Protégé 5.5 tool make different inferences on students' adaptation to business life and success before their graduation. Since ontology design is in its beginning, classifications related to career development were made only on three theories above. © 2022 IEEE.
