Abstract
Ekonomik büyüme ülkelerin durumunu gösteren önemli gösterge olmasının yanında tek başına çok büyük bir anlam ifade etmemektedir. Nitekim beklenen ekonomik büyümenin, işsizliği azaltıcı ve gelir dağılımını düzeltici yönde etki etmesidir. Çalışmada ekonomik büyümenin gelir dağılımı ve işsizlik üzerindeki eşanlı etkisi Türkiye örneğinde 1987-2016 yılları için ARDL sınır testi ile araştırılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre, Türkiye ekonomisindeki büyüme, gelir dağılımı üzerinde herhangi bir etki yaratmamaktadır. İlgili bulguya ulaşılmasının nedeni, veri setinin yetersizliği olabilir. Bunun yanında, ekonomik büyüme işsizlik üzerine kısa dönemde olumlu etki ederken, yani işsiz sayısını azaltıcı yönde etki ederken uzun dönemde bu etki tersine dönmekte ve Türkiye ekonomisindeki büyüme, işsizliği arttırıcı yönde etki etmektedir. Bunun nedeni ise gelişen teknoloji ile birlikte işverenlerin daha çok kalifiye eleman ihtiyacına karşın, piyasada yeteri kadar kalifiye eleman bulunamamasıdır.
Economic growth is the important indicator of the state of the country, but it doesn't mean much by itself. In fact, the expected economic growth has the effect of reducing unemployment and improving income distribution. In this study, the effects of economic growth on income distribution and unemployment were investigated with the ARDL border test for 1987-2016 in Turkey. According to research findings, economic growth in Turkey, has not effect on the distribution of income. The reason fort this can be lack of data. Besides that, the effect of economic growth for unemployment is a positive in short run reason but the long run reason that effect has negative effect. The reason for this; the employer need qualified personnel with developing technology but there are not enough qualified personnel in the market.
