Abstract
Bu tez çalışmasında; televizyonlarda yayınlanan çizgi filmlerdeki şiddetin ilkokul çocuklarıyla ilişkisi araştırılmıştır. İlköğretim okullarında öğrenim görmekte olan beşinci sınıf öğrencilerinin çizgi filmlerdeki saldırgan davranışlardan etkilenip kendilerinin de saldırgan davranışlarda bulunup bulunulmadığı saptanmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırmanın birinci bölümünde iletişim kavramı, kitle iletişim araçları, medyanın toplumsal işlevleri, şiddetle ilgili kuramsal yaklaşımlar ve televizyonun şiddete yönlendirmesiyle ilgili teoriler incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın ikinci bölümünde ise çizgi filmin tanımı ve tarihsel gelişimi, ilkokul çocuklarının fiziksel, bilişsel, sosyal ve duygusal gelişimi ele alınmış, televizyon ve çocuk ilişkisi, çizgi filmlerdeki şiddet ve çocuk ilişkisi incelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise anket uygulaması, analiz ve sonuç kısmı bulunmaktadır.
In this thesis project; the relation between the cartoons on TV, and primary school students has been examined. The aim of this project is to determine whether fifth grade primary school students are affected by the aggressive behaviours in cartoons, and thus have tendency towards aggressive attitudes. In the first part of this examination, the concept of communication, mass-media, social functions of media, theorotical approaches on violence issue and theories related to television?s directing people into violence have been analyzed. In the second part of the examination, the definition of cartoon and its historical progress, the physical, cognitive, social and emotional evolution of primary school students has been discussed, and the relationship between both television and children and violence in cartoons and children has been examined. In the third part, survey, analysis results and conclusion part is involved.Key words: Cartoons, violence, mass media, child/children, television
