Abstract
Sağlıklı olmanın temel koşullarından birisi sağlıklı çevredir ve sağlıklı çevreye ulaşmak ise çevre sorunlarıyla ilgili ciddi önlemler almayı gerekli kılar. Hastane ve sağlık kuruluşlarında insan ve çevre sağlığını korumayı hedefleyen Çevre Yönetim Hizmeti kapsamında; tehlikeli ve tıbbi atık yönetiminden su kullanımına, enfeksiyondan korunmadan radyasyonun zararlarını azaltmaya, temiz enerji kullanımından enerji tüketimini azaltmaya, hatta personellere yönelik eğitimler verilmesinden iç denetime varıncaya kadar bir dizi önlemlerin alınması neticesinde, her hastanenin "Çevre Dostu Hastane" olması sağlanabilir, böylece hem hasta ve çalışan güvenliği, hem de doğal çevre korunmuş olur. Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde sağlık kurumlarından kaynaklanan atık türleri incelenmiştir. Bu atıkların meydana getirdiği hijyen ve çevre sorunlarını gösteren çalışmalara yer verilerek sağlık kurumlarındaki mevcut atık yönetimi ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın son bölümünde ise, Kocaeli İlinde yer alan dokuz devlet hastanesine ait TSİM verileri ve kişisel gözlemlerle mevcut durum tespit edilerek sorunlar ortaya çıkarılmaya çalışılmış ve çözüm önerileri sunulmuştur. Ayrıca, bilgileri toplamak için, Kocaeli Kamu Hastaneler Birliği Genel Sekreterliği Çevre Yönetim Birimi Temel Sağlık İstatistikleri Modülü (TSİM) verileri kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada yer alan bütün sağlık kurumlarında kişisel gözlem ve çalışanların bilgilerinden faydalanılmıştır.

In addition, to collect information, Kocaeli Public Hospitals Union Secretariat General Environmental Management Unit Basic Health statistics Module (TSIM) data is used. In the study all health institutions and their employees from personal observation we have utilised.
